"The Editors' Guild of India has become a self-serving organisation and I hereby on LIVE television resign. Listen to me, I've been a member of the Editors' Guild of India for its absolute compromise with its editorial ethics.
For being an organisation, which is only operating in self-interests. And I accuse you Shekhar Gupta of leading the compromise on Indian Journalism by not speaking up against the incident like this "
- Arnab Goswami
Before knowing about Editors Guild, let we first know about The Editor.
● THE EDITOR ●
1.) The editor is a publication's editorial leader who has final responsibility for its operations and policies.
2.) As the ultimate custodian of the personality of the paper/channel he edits, the Editor rightly gets all the blame and credit.
3.) The hardest role to define but nonetheless essential is that the publication must maintain and promote high standards of good taste.
We can conclude that Editor is just like a CEO of the company.
For Example, We link Rajat Sharma, India TV, who is Editor- in-chief of India TV as well as its owner.

RAJAT SHARMA
Similiarly, We link Rahul kanwal, to Aaj Tak and India Today as he is associated with these channels for decades.
Just like the TV news channels, editors in newspaper media also play a vital role in shaping of the newspaper media.
For instance, the founding editor of a major Hindi newspaper, Rajasthan Patrika, is Karpoor Chandra 'Kuish'.
